Build the knowledge required by the federal Entry-Level Driver Training standard and prepare for safe professional driving.

Know before you enroll

What is the difference between Class A and Class B? +

Class A covers combination vehicles rated 26,001 pounds or more when the towed unit exceeds 10,000 pounds. Class B generally covers a heavy single vehicle and a trailer of 10,000 pounds or less.

How long is the program? +

The program is designed as a four-week, 160-hour course: 40 hours of ELDT theory and 120 hours of range and public-road training.

What does the skills test include? +

Vehicle inspection, basic vehicle-control maneuvers and an on-road driving test.

Do I need a DOT medical card? +

CDL applicants generally need a DOT physical and a valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate for their intended type of driving.
